Planning consent was granted on 30th April 2010 to enable the remodelling of the site to create a suitable development platform for 475 dwellings; associated infrastructure including new vehicular access onto Kings Way, Wyvern Way and Curf Way; and a new community leisure centre.

Following a public meeting, where details of the proposed first phase of the development were exhibited and comments invited, a reserved matters application was registered by Mid Sussex District Council on 8th August 2014 for the approval of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of Phase 1 of the development. This initial phase is located on the original factory area of the site and will consist of 125 new homes comprising two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
